For just a few days, I’m getting to relax with my parents, sibs, and their families in the Detroit area. I grew up here, but moved away over 11 years ago. Short trips like this are always tough, because I want to see so many people, but my body won’t cooperate. Especially this time, I cannot push it, because I’m leaving here to fly directly to the fabulous (but exhausting) energy of NYC.

However, I’m blessed to have family and friends that get it and don’t judge me when I hole up during visits. I even have my own chair at Mom and Dad’s when I’m here. 🙂 And yesterday, my canine nephews were ready to help me snuggle in and rest. Sometimes, just being “back home”, even if you mostly stay in, is exactly what the doctor ordered!
